WWE has settlement negotiations extended in legal dispute over Stone Cold trademark with NFL player

WWE has been coping with a authorized dispute with Stone Chilly Jones LLC since September and now it’s being prolonged even longer.

NFL participant, Kansas Metropolis Chiefs defensive deal with Chris Jones, owns the corporate. The problem between the 2 sides is because of a soda line named “Stone Chilly Jones Joda” along side KC Soda being launched.

Clearly, WWE owns the trademark rights to “Stone Chilly Steve Austin”, and “Stone Chilly.” When WWE observed this soda line, they filed a grievance to oppose Jones’ trademark submitting because it indicated the title “Stone Chilly” is related to Austin.

On December 15th, WWE began negotiating a settlement relating to the dispute. The proceedings obtained suspended for 30 days in consequence and the 2 sides had till January 15th to work one thing out.

Nevertheless, Heel By Nature notes after seeing courtroom paperwork that WWE has requested an extension with the USA Patent and Trademark Workplace Trademark Trial and Attraction Board.

They did so on January 20th as they needed one other 30 days to proceed negotiations. If no settlement is made by February 15th then courtroom proceedings will proceed.
