This week on “83 Weeks” with Eric Bischoff on Conrad Thompson, the tip of WCW and what was deliberate after March 2001 was mentioned. At one level in early 20021, Eric Bischoff had a gaggle of buyers that have been in talks to by WCW and there have been plans to have the corporate go darkish after which return with a relaunched model.
A number of of the large names that disappeared from TV (Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan, Goldberg and others) have been anticipated to return for the relaunch and there have been plans for a pay-per-view titled “The Large Bang.” As everybody is aware of by now, that by no means panned out due to WCW shopping for the corporate.
In February 2001, Jerry “The King” Lawler stop the WWF/E after his then-wife Stacy “The Kat” Carter was fired. Throughout this episode, Bischoff revealed that Lawler reached out to him about making the bounce to WCW.
